Mr. Byron Washom is UC San Diego.s Director of Strategic Energy Initiatives and previously served as Sr. International Advisors to DOE and the World Bank as well as a due diligence examiner of clean technologies to a global clientele of utilities, investors, and institutions for over twenty years. In 1984, Mr. Washom received an IR 100 Award for having set the world.s record for solar energy conversion that remained unsurpassed for 24 years. Mr. Washom is a four time Rockefeller Foundation grantee and a Heinz Endowment grantee.
