Design Technology Committee

Mission:
The mission of the DTC is to act as the voice of the EDA customer base to promote strategic solutions through the identification of gaps between projected EDA capabilities and the future needs of the semiconductor and system design community. It brings together EDA users inside and outside of the IEEE to promote interoperability of EDA tools, choice in EDA design flows as well as cooperation and best practice sharing.

DTC membership now stands at 14 leading semiconductor and systems companies, representing a strong user voice to the EDA industry. In the last several years, the DTC has initiated several industry initiatives that enable design tool interoperability and improvements to product development efficiency. The DTC is comprised of representatives from AMD, Broadcom, Ericsson, Freescale, Hewlett-Packard, IBM Corporation, Infineon, Intel, LSI, Oracle (Sun Microsystems), ST, STARC, Texas Instruments.
